The Darkest AngelDrake's mentality has always been to take the grass roots growth over payola + mainstream marketing gimmicks. Even when ovo started he turned down Macy's and other companies because he wanted it to start small and grow naturally. Same with Nocta, OVO Sound Radio, Night Owl Sound, Virginia Black, OVO Sound label artists, etc. If those DJ's want it they always knew what the soundcloud link was, they're not children. It better to see if songs grow organically vs spamming them to every DJ he knows like every artist does for a hit. Drake ain't desperate like them

Drake didn’t even put lncl and search and rescue on his albums
There’s no other artist that wouldn’t use songs of that caliber as lead singles

Didn't put 0 To 100 on IYRTITL either when any other artists in their right minds would've. Drake's always proved he doesn't care about the numbers and people believe the opposite. Treating him like he's dropping bundles and single remixes like Taylor Swift or the rest of the industry

I'm friends with lot of other hip hop heads irl and getting to know them at work or having grown up with them has been bizarre. I recommend you never bother to change their minds or let it frustrate you because it's like they live in a different world. A thing a lot of Drake haters have in common is they don't actually listen to him, they know his hits and that's it. Let them think that and be happy you're here with us, free to enjoy the goat while he's alive and feeding us. Enjoy these times and let the frustration go, it's their loss
