When he dies they gonna give him more flowers than a botanical garden. Hating on him is cool in the 2020s cuz he's literally the biggest artist of past decade and you can't be cool if you like what's popular according to critics and cool kids cuz it doesn't show a discerning taste. Half the time ppl just wanna hate on what everyone likes to try & exhibit some pseudo refined non existent cultural pallet. It's literally the plot to Birdman (movie).

This s*** is about to be unbearable. I know the stat is misleading, and even still, I don't doubt that Kendrick will regress to the mean, but this goofy ass beef, and mainly that obnoxious ass song, gifting him the biggest moment of his career is ridiculous. This moment of commercial, critical, and social superiority, however brief, is being touted around like it erases the past 15 years because people are unserious.

Kendrick, his cronies, his Stans, and Drake haters teaming up for this "victory lap" is the definition of not acting like they've been here before. Like, they're releasing video games about the song where you smack owls. If that's not clinging to a moment and telling on themselves about this being mostly about burying the other guy than enjoying the actual song or the artist who gave it to them, I don't know what is.

Drake shoulda ignored him and let "Like That" fade out after a handful of weeks, but hindsight is 20/20.
