I hate that s*** too. It's not 1950. Within minutes millions of people who care about a thing know about it. F*** marketing and promo.

Literally humans have spent billions in money and thousands of hours since the 50s telling people that later on a thing will happen. Like you couldn't just announce it what it actually is happening. This era of mass media marketing and cross promotion sucks.

I agree. These artists & labels shouldn’t promote or create buzz on any of their projects. They should just release it. F*** making any money on the project.

Don't be purposely dumb. Announcing a new music album as someone who makes music seems like people who like music or this specific artist(s) would know about it or follow them. I'm not saying to never do marketing or promo I'm saying spending months-years on it in the Internet era is dumb. Do a 1 week - 1 month. No need for more than that.
