That's what I never understood. NLU would have been a hit regardless. It definitely wouldn't have been that huge on the charts but it'd have still scored a massive debut and remained stable. All this weirdo s*** just shows you how scared they were and desperate to do everything they could to bend public perception and opinion. No wonder they quickly called the battle to an end right after NLU dropped and Drake dropped The Heart Part 6 calling out even more s*** and asking them for facts.

If you're Kendrick and you have way more diss tracks ready to go and you feel you're winning the battle, why would people from your camp be the first ones to call the battle to an end?

If there's one thing I truly hated about this beef, it's how disingenuous people were about everything Drake did. Everything he did was wrong. Every song he dropped was trash. Nothing he did was good enough. But apparently everything Kendrick did was flawless, genius and a masterclass.

It's crazy that Drake got more props in his battle with Pusha T (a battle where he only dropped 1 song) than this battle where he dropped more songs and rapped exponentially better.

Yeah that whole thing just threw me off this beef. I knew that the Kendrick glazing was a thing but god damn, the beef just put that s*** right in the open. Man literally didn’t rebuke anything, spoke into a wall (the daughter), and called dude a pedo yet he was flawless.

I was like WTF is going on

• but now we seemingly got the confirmation that they needed to bot to artificially swing perception that much, it makes more sense.

I knew going into this that rap fans would side with Kendrick regardless but I guess I underestimated just how many people are truly tired of seeing Drake dominate and how that would play out in the beef.

On one hand, in hindsight, I kinda wish he never engaged in this beef but then again, I'm glad he did and can now put it behind him.
