As a huge Drake fan it’s because he already dropped 3 lyrical disses, it was time for him to drop a hit that was also a diss and he did it flawlessly, especially after everyone said he couldn’t make music that could be played outside

See that’s where I disagree with you, in terms of battle rap Drake did everything he needed to do/ and you saying that he needed a hit is crazy cuz push-ups goes and so does family matters while keeping the lyricism in tact, whereas Kendrick’s only real lyrical record was euphoria the other fell short for me yeah NLU got a nice sound to it but that record ain’t as poppin as mfs making it out to be the industry always plays games with numbers

As a huge Drake fan I never said Drake needed a hit, I said Kendrick dropped not like us as an intended hit because he dropped more rap focus tracks before that

Kendrick really only dropped one lyrical song tho/ he show cased different styles of rap you mean/ but he never out Bar’d Drizzy ever.. and NLU again isn’t what people make it out to be, he better hurry up and roll his album out while that little momentum is there

You can personally like drakes songs better, but the obvious public perception is that Kendrick dropped better rap songs

As a huge Drake fan no it wasn’t, I was in constant communication with people who thought Drake was winning when he dropped pushups and Kendrick just came harder and swayed the people, it’s not some huge conspiracy

And you can’t measure bars, they both made rap songs and people liked Kendrick’s rap songs better so by default Kendrick rapped better, it’s pretty easy to understand

You need to look up what rapping is then respectfully/ by that logic Kendrick could pull a kanye with lift yourself and because Drake has way more haters than Kendrick does fans the public perception would receive it and you would consider that rapping better.. see how stupid that sounds?

As a huge Drake fan Kendrick would have to actually drop a lift yourself and chart higher than Drake for your claim to have any credence, but as of right now Kendrick dropped really really good songs that are also really really popular for being really good songs
