the exact revenue split is unknown to the public but drakes team and UMG would have agreed upon a certain revenue split (let say 70/30 in favour of the label on streaming revenue) for a certain time frame (5 years for example) to recoup those costs and then after the time frame is over drake still keeps the masters and then retains 100% of revenue from further streams

also, umg probably is more inclined to make the deal not only because they know they can recoup through streaming splits due to drake being the biggest streaming force, but also just to keep the name drake under the umg umbrella, probably helps sell investors
