I think THP6 was never in Drake's initial batte plan and that was just a side quest to answer to the pedo claims. I have believed this totally separate from all the current motion.
The shooting basically ended everything, not the songs taking off.

Maybe they thought he was going to drop the mirror song and hoped NLU would drown it out. But Drake dropped THP6 instead.
Idk, Top saying good battle after THP6 has me suspicious. Maybe NLU was their Hail Mary.
Streets saying Kendrick's next 5 songs were about the daughter so Top had to end it and Drake is still waiting for a response before he can drop the many men and mirror songs

May 11th is when that EbonyPrince2k24 account started posting about Drake & what happened while he was in the hotel when he was in NY. This was after Drake posted the mirror stories & Real was posting it insinuating that it was Drakes turn. The Instagram post is just when he was in NY shopping.
That's also when he got that diamond ring and the receipt is in the 6:16 in LA cover. That's also the ring he holds up on the necklace at the end of Family Matters if I remember correctly.

Yeah I feel like he took a gamble with THP6. Like he was saying alright accusations aside, let’s get into the things we both know are true. Then they didn’t wanna go anymore. My thinking was Kendrick had Drake on the ropes in the public arena’s view. So why cut his head off?
