there's a lot of songs since like More Life era that just sound like they were recorded on-the-go or something but so much of his early albums were recorded on tour and sound amazing so idgi

It just doesn't sound crisp and it's even worse because this is a single. It's not like it's a part of an album and you can excuse how the mix might not be good enough because whoever mixed it was rushing to get done so Drake could get it out. Drake premiered the song on the Fry Yiy radio show on Saturday and 40 had a whole week to perfect the mix and just didn't do that.

Are you just talking about the digital-sounding vocal effect on his voice? Bc that's obviously intentionally and not really the fault of the mix. Or are you talking about other aspects?
