What are their metrics? Considering that Drake has the most billboard hits of all time he should at least be top 10 and in front of Taylor Swift for sure

    Probably albums + singles sold

16# of all time is a crazy number, thinking all these LEGENDARY ARTISTS, besides Taylor, spent like at least 30 years to make it on this list, Drizzy only 10...

he's going to end as one of, if not the biggest artist of all time

The ranking of this list is based on chart performance. Taylor has like 3 albums in the top 100 of the best-performing albums of all time. Drake has 1, I believe.

    PEFORMANCE ON THE BILLBOARD 200

    DRAKE
    27 weeks at #1.
152 weeks in the top 10.
    1,671 total weeks charting.

    TAYLOR SWIFT
41 weeks at #1 (will be 42 weeks next week).
199 weeks in the top 10 (will be 200 next week).
    1,368 total weeks charting.

NOTE: You get more chart points the more weeks you spend at #1/in the top 10.

    RIAA:
Taylor Swift: 45 million certified album units.

Drake: 25.5 million certified album units (undercertified, would be at 35 million album units when certified to date).

Another thing to consider is that while Drake has performed way better on the Hot 100 in comparison to Taylor, Taylor has sold more album units than Drake (especially pure sales), which Billboard weighs more than streams on rankings like this (if I had to take a guess).

It was last updated in November last year. I'm sure Drake will be in the top 10 the next time they update it.

Taylor had a 4-head start (her debut album dropped in 2006, Drake's debut album dropped in 2010), so it's impressive that in 10 years, he's already ahead of so many people.

For real, he could really destroy all records if he went another 10 tbh

  • Aug 6, 2020

Eh fair I mean idk what they’re comparing to justify this list but if anything swap him with Taylor Swift that would be better imo
