I admittedly am a way bigger Kendrick fan and strongly cheered for him to win the beef.
But I'm not a Drake hater, and like his older music.
I don't necessarily care if he doesn't bounce back. But I believe he should make an attempt to make a bounce back.
And I at least had hope that losing the beef would get him in gear, and finally give him the inspo to lock in an make a album at the same quality as 2011-2014 Drake music
He said he let Pusha win "by choice"
He then went on one of his most iconic run of hits that same year.
Are things that much different now because of this most recent beef?
Anecdotally yes
We got the night MTG overshadowed FM, NLU going #1, THP6 getting absolutely panned since then. Cole is a footnote now.
We’ll see
The bar cannot possibly be set any lower
This fr might be the worst feature from a number one rapper I've ever heard in my entire life
And coming off a beef that some people perceived you lost?
THP6 worse diss track from a top tier rapper
This is the worst feature from a top tier rapper
He needs to stop hanging around Yachty and possibly develop a heroin addiction to come back from this.
Nah he can’t, That’s an automatic L
It’s gotta be some reflecting on life type stuff
But for the hype tracks what does he do lol
But for the hype tracks what does he do lol
He just gotta do some 4:44 type s***

That heroin addiction post was so hilariously detailed. Bro might have been serious actually
So if this white kid making fun of Toronto “hood men” is parody does that mean drake considers his other music where he switches accents to be parody?
😂😂😂
Chill bro. Drake is literally just trolling Kendrick and showing him he can still freely do whatever he wants within the scope of music. Not that hard to understand. The bars will come, chess not checkers.
Putting out trash music as a chess move
I’ve seen it all
Like are the uk songs, the Memphis songs, the Atlanta songs the carribean songs etc…also parody for drake?

It’s not… it’s really ignorant

If he’ll make fun of of his own city’s culture wouldn’t he do worse to ours

I don't deny that Drake has hits. And he's probably not gonna stop having hits.
But in my personal opinion, he hasn't dropped a good album in an extremely long time. He's become a "singles" artist.
He lost the beef, and I personally would say that it single-handedly removed Drake from the "greatest of all time" discussion. Nobody will ever take away his platinum and diamond hits from him. Nobody will take away his accolades.
But now, when discussing "who was the best rapper of this generation" in terms of technical skill, and who release quality projects, Drake will no longer be in that discussion.
I was hoping that this would be the wake up call that brings out the same hunger in him that he had early in his career.
If he wants to remain in that "greatest of all time/this generation" discussion, he really needs to come out full force and drop the best album he's released in years.
When Drake really locked in he made some beautiful, danceable ass dancehall music… he was generously welcomed by the Caribbean community bc he was making good music. Why squander that over unfunny parodies? Why do this at all when you’re capable of making One Dance and Passionfruit?

Yeah, couldn't finish FATD. hope he really delivers with his next one , but that goat talk might still come with an asterisk if more s*** leaks

You’ll say all of this but they’ll still remind you that no one is taking the plaques away. We know.
