After the so-called trilogy of Certified Lover Boy, Honestly Nevermind and Her Loss, I thought Drake was gonna chill for awhile as far as upcoming projects go. If this is indeed music-related, then Drake must be in a nice musical zone right now.
Good for him.
He is feeling his 3rd prime on the horizon. The people back on his d*** again like when he was the new hot young artist in 2011

He has always moved like this and he can take as long as he wants to drop. That's probably what the label would prefer so they'd have him under contract for longer.
His move regarding his music contracts has always been to sign and drop frequently till he fulfills his obligations and the renegotiate a better deal/sign again. That's how he managed to sign 3 deals under his former label arrangement. That's how he moved when he was still signed to Young Money/Cash Money and he's simply doing the same thing now. Also, the main reason he got that much money was so UMG could hold on to his back catalog for longer. That's what they really care about. They likely gave him a $250M/5-album deal while the remaining $250M is so he can sit easy while they continue to own the rights to his older masters from So Far Gone - Scorpion. That's my educated guess, at least.
Don’t care. Give the masterpiece her loss the attention it deserves with some music videos
