Amapiano was way bigger than afrobeats where i live (netherlands) this summer so i think the rise will be steady

i think its going to get bigger in places that are more edm/house centric but afrobeats is staying in places more on the hip-hop /rnb side of things

Amapiano has gotten so big it's great to see the local music scene being appreciated globally. That said I think we could all use an Amapiano Drake album.

That's not really the point of this tweet and he's actually spitting. He's saying he got hate for doing amapiano but when Drake eventually does it, people will love it. Basically we hop on waves only after international artists hop on and we dismiss/hate on local artists even though they were doing it before those international artists
