More life was obviously a moody/night album and we still f***ed with it during the spring and summer
I think, realistically, Drake's gonna treat this like a More Life/DLDT type project until the next blockbuster project drops.
Wayne does the same thing with the non-Carter albums.
Props for at least trying to experiment though. More mainstream rappers besides Ye, Kendrick, and Drake should experiment with other genres.

Also if they can start doing regular rollouts again along with singles that would be great

MMTBS was a traditional rollout.
I see what you saying but i disagree. Album was perfect for late night summer drives with the windows down
Sensitive OP delete my comment lmao
Y’all can face the fact your Goat been dropping mid for 7 years lmao
Arbitrary attachment or scheduling music is f***ing weird
Just as bad as a replayability "argument" or thinking everything on a project has to fit one specific mood/occasion
You either like it or dont
music is words over sounds sometimes i wanna hear certain sounds and words in certain occasions

I need Scary Hours it’s spooky season and he has never really drop around that which is strange considering he enjoys October
FALLING BACK ON MEEEE (x100)
While you're sipping coffee on a gloomy autumn afternoon.......
if you think you can't associate music with certain times or occasions you dont enjoy your life enough to have those occasions
I don't know what you're talking about Honestly Nevermind gives me summer vibes and it was perfect for me
MMTBS was a traditional rollout.
Not really. My bad for the longread but is something thats been bothering me for a bit:
The album was fully announced a week before released n its "songle" easnt even on the album nor was it a single-like song, then they did the actual songle the day of or the day after of the album's release.
It still well tho yeah, but it would have done way better if it was announced earlier with like two or three songles such as die hatd, silent hill n n95 or whatever. Like how the initial billboard predictions were based off of a potential single release, but it become clear that wasnt happening. Meanwhile Damn had one of the most traditional roleouts & hype which lead to one of the best Rap albums to date.
Same with HN, i think the hype of a surprise relase is what hurt it the most, then he does a music of intro song the day agter release. If it had singles and a build up to get people used to it it would have gone better imo, singles purpose is literally to get people familiar, & familiarity sells more than anything. Like how the 21 savage song was the only one people gravitated too, familar, n Sticky is the only song that grew on the average audience. While the 8 out of left songs that came seemingly out of nowhere arent taken well. Single buildups or even an announcement of what the project will be would have worked better for those songs.
Even Cole with the basketball hopp albuk, it had the most traditional out of the three but it was still revealed super short before drop with only like one song beforehand.
While Donda1 on the otherhand hada crazy rollout that lead to kanyes best selling album on over 10 years, even tho it didnt even have a full week for it fw numbers.
I dont think surprise releases or short releases work well in Rap, its actually proved it doesnt. Only IYRTITL worked out well, but that was at Drakes super peak plus the project had hella hype & drama around it beforehand and after.
While Drake dropped DLDT in a short reveal, it didnt do that great (although better than HN) and was outsold by a handful of albums like Uzi, even during the pandemic. Meanwhile CLB had so much hype n teasing & Drake himself becoming a walking billboard for it for a year+, which it became super successful.
Its just dumb & idk why they feel like they can just drop at a hat without anything now, really no one can in Rap. Maybe they dont care which can be true, but doesnt change that at least imo its dumb n hurts the potential.

Ok 💀💀
if you think you can't associate music with certain times or occasions you dont enjoy your life enough to have those occasions
Lol thats usually in retrospect
You auto judged a music place without even hearing half of it
And house music is considered "summer/party" music, especially in a lot of other countries
No s*** you want a party song for a party or a sad song when youre feeling etc. but no one is doing oje type of thing 100 percent of the time throughout the day lmao
im going to toronto next month and that's probably where ill check this album out because that's the setting i picture it in. cold winter relaxing with this playing in the background
Albums slaps at the scrapyard best bro x

Don't mine @Nozuka hating on an online forum the only joy he got left in life lol. You deleting one of his thousands of negative posts is like taking away his food/water.
