Where would you rank ICEMAN?

I need to know, I have never been this infatuated with a Drake album & I would love to know where it ranks for y’all. I always appreciated IYRTITL, but this is just truly on another level for me. I would like to read your takes, ty

offline I've heard people say Iceman is his best since Views. guess I'm in the minority for ranking Views low in his discog, while rating Scorpion relatively high

I could see it landing around 5 tbh Take Care and Nothing Was The Same are never going to change for me at 1 and 2. After that it’s hard to move HNVM and IYRT out of the way so I think 5 is the ceiling

I just don’t get how so many treat NWTS and TC as so untouchable in his discography. I love them too but I honestly rarely listen to them, I’m much more drawn to more recent music usually.

I think it’s tough for people to separate nostalgia from how you really feel about the music.

Iceman might be at the top of the list for me. But I think every album has something that draws you to them specifically vs the others.

FATD is at the bottom just due to the forced rage rap influences on the front half that should had been replace by other tracks (such as by the scary hours FATD tracks). The back half of the album is classic tier songs.

When you listen to views or scorpion, you realize how much better Drake (and 40, Noel, etc) got at fine tuning his sound. His rapping voice has developed really nicely as he has aged which draws me to more back half of his discography. I can’t believe how different his voice used to sound when I listen to TML for example. He almost sounds like a teenager compared to today lol
