"UMG’s schemes to artificially inflate the popularity of “Not Like Us” were motivated, at least in part, by the desire of executives at Interscope to maximize their own profits.

UMG executives have an annual incentive program pursuant to which they are rewarded for meeting and surpassing sales and profits projections, among other metrics. "

Drake. Could. Have. Been. Pro. Artist. In. 2015. But. Signed. With. A. Major. Service. Exclusively. Then. Re. Upped. For. Half. A. Billion. With. The. Corporation

Suing Spotify because a song is popular is insanely b****made behavior I hope Drake fans can understand this

We do. Weird tbh. But when the label you are sitting on is using your biggest op as a strategy to pigeon hold you, you gotta speak out.

Do you believe he sued his own label and a streaming service because his diss didn’t pop off like the other guys?

The lawsuit states he is suing because they artificially inflated numbers

No. Drake and his attorneys have way too much to lose submitting this suit off hearsay. UMG is a multi-billion dollar company and will fight this suit til the end of human existence because they can, and them admitting wrongdoing in this is 10x more damaging than losing or settling. That's why Billboard said UMG is threatening to sue Kendrick and pass the blame. If you don't believe Drake's camp has legitimate proof behind the scenes that led them to do this that's you.

    You mean UMG, not Billboard

    YA ICEMAN ACE

I know y'all will clown this to oblivion but if this ends up exposing there were bots artificially inflating popularity that is lame as fuck but you'll never admit it

This is exactly it. If this is a whole facade then ofc they are gonna act like Drake is crazy.

They used to said Drake was the industry and bla bla, but "somehow" nobody bats an eye that Kendrick is acting "anti industry" but being backed by the industry and getting the SB :lmao:

If he wins something over this it would be a whole game changer for the whole game

There's a weird contrast between the woke ktt members constantly acting like they are fighting the system and then also making fun of a young person forced to live in his car even though he is working and trying to pursue his passions

    Feels bad to watch

@americana this is about your b****ass btw :jordanlaff3:

Likewise. And yeah you are defs right, slippery slope. I’m purely speculating but I just don’t know why Drake would greenlight this unless he had solid grounds for a result in his favour

I agree. Lol but from the looks now it seems like this won’t go far
