The rest of yall are definitely involved, yall getting it too @umg @interscope
that's automatically taking the stance that Kendrick could only have a mega hit like NLU because he's being backed by UMG. the reason a lot of people aren't on Drake's side is because they don't believe him, not because they care about UMG lol. If the roles were reversed people should rightfully be doubtful of Kendrick's claims until they were proven true.
i dont agree with that, i think nlu wouldve been a hit and beaten drake without bots etc etc regardless (i posted this hours ago btw)
my point still stands that if drake has a valid claim umg boosted nlu past the normal in an attempt to devalue his next record deal, thats shady business dealings and im glad drake calls them out on it
if hes wrong then drake takes another L so be it
for sure and id love to see how it plays out. i dont know if theyll countersue on those grounds but anything can happen
I really don't see this lawsuit going anywhere or changing anything. But I want to give Drake more credit than that, why would he take this massive PR hit unless there is something there
This is all gonna end anticlimactically w/Drake settling out of court and re-upping with UMG for 250Ms type s***
I think Vince was just offended at how obvious and cynical Spotify is by doing literal billboards that essentially say "listen to the NEW diss tracks by Drake and Kendrick Lamar on SPOTIFY". You're going to do that anyways but it kind of sucks to see.
oh i think i get what you mean, like vince was calling out THAT billboard made by spotify. i completely misunderstood you mb yeah youre totally right and so is vince
i wonder if it’s just a coincidence that Kendrick dropped his album around the same time this came out
Mental gymnastics at r/Drizzy should be studied
That’s why Pitchfork rated Dot’s album as a 6

hopefully more than that if it matches length / expectation wise with his last contract

I've yet to see the twitter disses in hp6. show me. I showed you and your cohort examples.
still dont know the difference between civil and criminal damn.

I think a compromise will happen on both sides, hence the #. They both need each other though.
No one benefits from this going to a whole ass lawsuit. UMG needs Drake. Drake needs UMG.

100% agreed, if anything this is just drake saying "i can come at yall dont play me like some submissive dog"

Bro literally took anything Grandy posted and put it in a song 😭

If there’s actually a whistleblower then I can understand why he did this
But even then, suing over a rap battle is just unbelievably awful in terms of optics
