nah man i think its dying and losing out do other genres, i think we have very few promising upcoming rappers and drake/kendrick/cole are the last "big three" we will see from rap for a long time

and with drake's numbers being completely stable he can literally go to anybody (meta) and negotiate a better contract with his masters. UMG literally has no teeth in this situation it is entirely contigent upon what they can barter with drake from his advantage. especially with how f***ed the industry has been recently, he is at a significant advantage
