By every angle, metric, and calculation, he is putting himself in real (not only monetary, but physical) danger by stabbing at the toes of Lucian Grange and the UMG monolith. Directly laying out that they’re using bots, and that the Not Like Us countrywide sensation was artificially manufactured. This will literally set the entire industry ablaze, I don’t think you realize the precedents being set right now. Really selfless move from Drake, sorry you wanted to laugh so bad you can’t see it

I agree wit you which is why I’m not sold on the whole narrative of him doin this to go up against the industry. I’m sure he does have a valid beef with UMG but it’s still for self.

You can recognize it may be a good move, and also a***yze that there is no plan behind the move to solidify his stance

Imagine if he brought Cole and Kendrick to the table and had an open discussion about this and got support from other major artists instead of trying this post beef cause you upset you lost and finally noticed for once “these numbers that benefitted me for a long time, can actually not benefit me no matter how much money I made for these niggas (like Kanye warned me for a damn decade)”

I just don’t get the over rating of the move that’s been done before. It’s very prisoner of the moment but we gotta look at the bigger picture.

Thank god it’s a civil suit, therefore if he settles out of court whatever the settlement verdict was can be used for future cases. But it’s just got no full support from everyone no matter how we try to paint it because of the messenger unfortunately. This happens in September last year when everyone still generally liked Drake? This thread moving a little differently.
