This puts Drake and the music industry in an interesting position

Before he signed that $400m UMG deal there was a lot of speculation that if he went the independent Russ route he could single handedly damage the traditional music industry format

This was also at the peak of his popularity so things are obv different now. But if he chooses to go independent and continues to drop actual good music he might be ok still with the support of his core fans

That’s a big gamble tho after the damage he’s taken from K Dot

Like objectively this lawsuit won't work cause if they inflated Kendrick they def inflated Drake at one point and you can't complain they let him slander you because they let you slander him.
