What I also said, was that drake and some of his collaborators and colleagues are guilty of the same hypocrisy. I’m not sure why that ends up with being “it’ll be ok. Kendrick won bro. Go to the drizzy reddit ” as if I said once drake was morally superior or that he won.
I said calling a black man white and downplaying blackness was something I disagreed with. Is that what got y’all mad?

Like you comparing Drake, XXX, Kodak and Dre and asking why Kendrick going against Drake morally while letting the others slide but you’re ignoring the complexity of the dynamics and individuality of those relationships.
Like featuring Kodak on his album, it’s not like they were rapping together about money, hoes, and partying. He talking about the cycle of abuse (including his own mom) and generational trauma. Putting Kodak on that album fits into those themes and generates controversy and conversation around the topics he’s trying to address on the album. He’s not at all looking the other way or ignoring what Kodak did.
I see that point with Kodak. Again, I am notoriously horrible at conveying my thoughts into conversations. It’s created issues in every debate or discussion I have.
I agree with you that there’s nuance to all of this. I appreciate guys like you that come with a real response rather than being unable to see that things on both sides are more complex than just one side good one side evil, it’s mostly those people that get me riled up.I can see how my original post could come across misconstrued because I used Kendrick and affiliates as the examples for hypocrisy but I wasn’t implying that only one side was wrong
