The rumor going around for that is FPS was sent to Kendrick to hop on. He agreed to do it, but he wanted Drake to do his verse first and then he was going to put his verse afterwards. My guess is Drake ain’t want to get washed on his own song. So the s*** fell through. Once again, just rumors. At this point, it doesn’t even matter. This is long overdue.

So I’m taking what Dot said in his Diss record as a confirmation to this.

No I think kendrick didn't want to do it full stop. Not because he wanted to drake to write his verse first. It doesn't work like that, seeing as it is drakes song he could've made any changes any time.

The only thing the info dump seemed to state clearly was Cole asks Drake to get Kendrick on it and Drake sends him First Person Shooter beat no vocals. When Kendrick gets it he thinks it's a setup. (I think Drake sent the 1st beat without vocals cause he was hopping on the 2nd beat anyhow to avoid the worry about sneak dissing or being compared bc I'm doing this cause Cole asked.) That's my speculation though.

@Brave i’ve been running this, i found it interesting that even though he’s using a voice filter, the rhyme scheme is so explicitly Drake-like, if that make sense?

i don’t know if i might be projecting that since obviously there’s context that it was him behind it but i feel like if these verses showed up in a vacuum out of nowhere it would still feel like a Drake verse, you know what i mean?

interested in your thoughts tbh, im wondering how a rhyme scheme is really recognizable like that

Find patterns in Drake verses with a similar cadence

Find patterns in Drake verses with a similar cadence

this was one of the first songs that came to my mind

Sweeter the berry, the blacker the juice
The boy is back in the booth, ready to tap into truth
Too many lyrics 'bout houses and loot
Too many Walt Disney characters, mouses and goofs
I mean, you know I love a challenge, but challenged by who?
I'll let you bring a thousand recruits

    The most decorated, competition decimated
My drive is dedicated, your drive is designated
Got you to the spot and then you separated
Reasons for it speculated, we know how it escalated
    Rarely celebrated, grade 11 educated
Radio is king again, Billboard got me regulated

it seems like he plays with a little internal rhyme and then drops it to an end rhyme over and over again, and it’s catchy as hell
