Why is Drake so insecure about critique of his work? Dude you’re number one all stats right now and he’s way too focused on criticism. I don’t get it
A hit dog gonna holler.
He’s clearly not as confident in his work as he used to be since he feels the need to respond to every ounce of criticism and make up reasons as to why someone might not like a song

Then needs to start switching up at the risk of losing some commercial appeal and even then I can make suggestions that'll still allow him to appeal to his usual demographics:
1. Start trimming down the album, follow the same formula as HNVM and Her Loss by keeping the number of tracks at 16 top.
2. Work with different producers such as Hit-Boy, Alchemist, Kal Banx, Dj Khalil, Swizz, etc. where you could still retain that commercial sound yet give something little different to the audience. S***, he could even bring back his older producers like T-Minus or Just Blaze
3. Better mixing
4.

1. Stop making music

I agree.
16-18 songs is more than enough music and also concise enough that the entire project doesn’t become a chore to get through. He seemed to have figured that out in 2022 so I don’t understand why he went back to the usual bloat with this album
Everything we said though, was contained in the party chat, practice, friend group, etc.. We weren't broadcasting that s*** to the Internet.
Cause those outlets didn’t exist in a mass scale at that time cro, if they existed we woulda been utilizing like the kids of today are lmfao. Same way I was watching Chris Smoove play 2k13, it woulda just been the same s***. How else you think niggas was achievement hunting? Time changed and that became the norm form entertainment to kids of today
UPDATE: It appears that Yachty was the one who informed Drake that Akademiks was "talking crazy". That's what prompted Drake to send that message without context of what Ak actually said
Yachty influence strikes again. Drake gotta stop letting a 25 yr old chatty patty guide his actions
Surprisingly, he's 100% right
drake needs kai cenat rizz to outsell mickey scott’s garage album sale

Kai cenat is such an annoying mf, at least collab with an ok Streamer like ishowspeed

he knows he's not really him.
and the weeknd is bigger
says so much about the quality of the music when 2 days after release all people are talking about is insta fingers beef instead of the album itself
True sadly
the fantano review is gonna cause him to snap
Pitchfork absolutely dropped their score a whole number after seeing the budden thing
Drake been overexposed
I like his recent album
But he needs a break 100%, you gotta let the audience miss you

he needed a break after scorpion
should have just done what the mysterious artists did and took 5 years off but hes obsessed with numbers that dont matter
You saying you were making rape jokes like this when you were a kid?
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcG0WpGBPcYif you’re making rape jokes right to a girls face you were never right in the head to begin and i’m not sure growing up can change that
I used to watch dudes stream 2K on twitch back in 2013. It wasn’t popping like it was now though
It's popular now due to the parasocial aspect as more and more people are becoming socially isolated and stunted
Drake is very aware of his social rep and the criticism of him yet chooses not to make any changes. It's kind of odd, People talk about too much filler or making the album too long yet choose to make this one of his longest albums.
Exactly. Makes me think he does it to spite critics, wouldn't be surprised
Kai ain’t a good representation of anything. Nigga just screams while his loser chat spams W
Brutal 😭😂

When you look at his discography in a vacuum, he sort of did
2019 - Best In the World pack (Money In The Grave and some other track)
2019 - Care Package (singles comp)
2020 - Dark Lane Demo Tapes (Outtake collection)
2020 - Laugh Now, Cry Later
But having lived through those years, he was still everywhere. Money In The Grave, Toosie Slide and Laugh Now, Cry Later were all huge hit singles, and Drake had by then basically been a staple on everyone’s playlists since at least 2015.
