Huge grower. Didn’t hear the vision at all first two listens - specially that last beat

How does he make music that always grows

I almost always think “yea this is not it”

When I first hear his songs and then a few days later i find my self singing it and return to it

This and dog house are both having that effect right now

Also some of the instrumentals he played go crazy if he locks in those are going to be sick

I’m surprised this got a lukewarm review it’s actually a banger

After replaying again and again, it does sounds great, the skeleton of the song is definitely there but lyrically PARTS of it feel a bit like a first attempt. I wonder how these Iceman previews are going to evolve (if at all in this case specifically.)

I also really like the pumpfake of the first beat basically being a classic Drake rap song which we all wanna hear and he even specifically calls this out

“Maybe, when no one's around, I'll rap like the old me”

Think that’s why initially I couldn’t stand the song. I was so hype to hear that rapping Drake in the first 40 seconds and then when he switched it I was so annoyed.

But this song has been on repeat since I revisited it, actually a banger

I think he’ll revisit the first beat or have similar beats on the project that will resanate “the old drake”
Especially since he even knows what we want and isn’t giving it

I'm confidently on the side of the theory that all these instrumentals teased are going to be the "old rapping drake" songs people have been waiting for. Fingers crossed.
