Life Is Good is the most viewed music video of the entire year. It was also a genuinely great video with effort put into it.
Yet ofcourse it's deligated to the f***ing Hip-Hop category. So tired of the propaganda they pull with award shows, no wonder Drake will never give a s*** about them.

They've given the award to many acts who don't have that many iconic videos. It's become more of an award to recognize you're an icon/legend than anything else.

Exactly. They could have given it to Lady Gaga or Katy Perry or whoever else this year but they would eventually have given him the award so why not just do it now? He doesn't have the best videography in the world but he has a lot of solid videos. Well deserved, if you ask me. Everyone else people are bringing up who SHOULD have gotten it instead will get it eventually.

Eh, you're right sorta, they complain but it's on par with the hate the grammys get, but I wish they actually gave it to more music video directors. The last one to win it was Hype Williams in like 2006 I think.
