Ngl chat once this s*** reaches the chorus it's pretty dogshit

That first verse was great but Pressa verse trash and I didn't need to hear that autotune ass nigga on this beat, the Drake Chorus sound tired and like he's bored his voice literally sounds dead.

Cool verses tho. Absolutely not what I would have wanted on this beat. It might really be over.

Def sounds tough but doesn’t sound earth shattering imo. Sounds pretty standard for an aggressive/hype Drake song.

The thing that’s wild about Drake is you could take this song and put it on any of his albums this decade and it would work. That just kinda tells me the music ain’t really changing much. You couldn’t put a yeezus song on MBDTF and make it work. They were self contained worlds. I kinda miss that

i think this is the problem with "hyping" in general. imagine if we didn't get a preview at the end of episode 2 and drake just dropped this song normally as a single on dsps (solo version ofc) then it would be universally acclaimed

but ever since it became the "elevator beat" it has surpassed reason and created expectations that can never be met. kind of like the "red button" s*** some hardcore stans still dream of

you can make the same yeezus argument for hnvm songs on any other drake album

tlop/ye or any other ye songs could be on mbdtf and vice versa

My nigga the only expectation that I have is pretty reasonable "Drake raps on this and does the hook himself"

S*** is only difficult lately for this nigga, i'm the biggest Drake fan on this whole forum I ride for this guy everyday, THIS s*** is ass, and for some reason lately it feels like he can only rap for like a minute tops without going into some sort of beat switch, unneeded melody or FT.

This project is not the project for all that bullshit. I'm starting to really look at this nigga different. Go in the booth and f***ing rap, stop tryna give us Canadian GNX with these bums
