I mean you’re correct but then if we go by just numbers we all of a sudden have to say fast and furious movies are artistically some of the best cinematic movies ever made. There’s room for nuance and having critical thinking. Not saying drake is a slouch but the past few albums I don’t feel like he’s saying much or pushing towards new ground. Not that he has to, what he does works for him.

They make different music with different intentions so its hard to compare, But CLB has some interesting stuff and Drake tries some new flows and beats

I will say that while Donda is vastly critically underrated, CLB is also probably a 6.5 or 7 for what it is. I don't like it but I suspect it's in large part because it's mostly exactly the kind of Drake I don't like. Songs like You Only Live Twice for ex. are just not my cup of tea at all but they're not BAD per se (like Papi's Home or Knife Talk lmao)

Yeah I think playing IYRTITL before the album was a mistake. It's not a bad project, but knowing he's capable of so much more than he puts out and that album being the proof just sucks. Drake is Cole levels of wasted potential when it comes to crafting truly GREAT or incredible albums.
