Look I’m not here to debate if “old” drake or this “era” drake better than drake and alladat.

I’m just saying as far as marketing and publicity goes, he was putting himself out there A LOT. From a MEDIA standpoint, Drake was on top of the world.

• Graced the covers of multiple magazines

• On The Ellen Show

• Made his rounds on the ESPN tv shows

• Made his rounds on the nightly talk shows

• Did something with FIFA

What else am I forgetting?

Obviously I know his music still dominates and his name is all over the place today. I’m not tryina say the quality of his music has deteriorated, let me be clear with that.

Perhaps that’s a reason I never really got into Views. The Views we eventually got features lower down in my discog. The energy just felt off.

Agreed 1000000%. Same for me bro, same. I appreciate it for what it was, and One Dance and Controlla are amazing to me, but it just didn’t live up to what I had hoped or expected.

Just didn’t feel like he was fully into the album (we know why). I struggle to get through a full listen from start to finish. Unfortunate because of what we could’ve gotten.
