Many of the songs Drake made with those pop artists weren't even pop records. They were R&B records, most of which were never even pushed as singles, so it's clear he didn't go over there to fish for hits. More importantly, they weren't wack, which is what all Kendrick's pop features are, because it was clear he did them to score hits. That's the difference.

Drake literally said ''rap niggas doing weak features''. He was just taking a dig at rappers who do weak, corny pop features clearly aiming to score hits because HE doesn't have to do any of that.

His pop songs are better than most categorically pop artist singles anyway, might as well
