If it weren't for the fact that specific moments referenced in the song came at a later time, I would assume they were leftover verses.

Ever since post freak mill beef drake introduced this cadence for his introspective/venting type records 30 for 30 freestyle (universally acclaimed drake song even by haters) probably being the first instance
