A project like that would flop like crazy but if he's willing to trade in commercial success for "damn, Drake is getting his bars off on this tape" tweets then great. If he likes it, I love it.

I literally think it's impossible for Drake to have a surprise it's too many eyes and ears waiting.
More so in this moment not even the level of fame.

I don't think he needs to lean too R&B heavy on his next project but balance out the rap songs with slappers/bangers. That's what people will keep returning to. The bar-heavy s*** is cool for a couple first listens but most people move away from that in favor of "records" and if you don't have that on any album, that album won't have any longevity with folks.

Drake just needs to stick to what he does best, and keep the outsourcing to a minimum

Records like Bahama Promises, Drew a Picasso, Tried Our Best, 8am, Red Button, he can do in his sleep. The rap records, and the R&B records he does in his sleep.

It's when he has to outsource bangers that's when admittedly I get queasy. I know some like these songs but Daylight/Calling For You/Fear Of Heights/Another Late Night/IDGAF are at worst awful and at best pure filler to me and they're all outside of his wheelhouse
