After they see that something that did high physicals get no play irl it creates a disconnect in them they can’t handle. They want it to be it the same achievement as 100k streams when it’s not

Because streaming is very accessible and generates basically no revenue, companies like Spotify have small margins and limited room for growth and monetization, everyone likes it because you can decades worth of music at your fingertips for $10 a month, but when you split that 10 dollars among all the songs you listened to it’s basically nothing

My point being is that we shouldn’t see physical album sales as something less than streaming. 100K units is still 100K units

The real truth is people need to be willing to pay significantly more for streaming services (like $50 a month) or be prepared to accept that fact that the market has changed and streaming at least as we know it is not going anywhere soon
