He’s built up all this momentum from his silence and delays that his return could be on some Scary hours/ gods plan s*** again. Also the first song an artist like Drake releases in the new year sets the tone for his year imo.

The artists with a label machine behind them who get a Drake feature can actually work the record on radio, maybe get Drake in their video and do other stuff to give their Drake feature the best chance to smash. This record won't have any of that.

I get why he's bragging and all but I feel it's too early and he'll end up looking stupid because the record will be dead on arrival. It already leaked, it's getting released officially in the middle of the tracking week and it isn't exactly a great record so people will just listen once or twice and move on. I already said people would check out the song and like I also said, good for him, but he played himself by getting Drake on a wack song. That greatly reduced the impact his presence could have had on the song and on furthering Drakeo's career.

Getting Drake on your song is always a great look, no one is denying that, but based on how good the song is or rather how good the song is perceived to be, that determines how much impact the Drake feature will have on your career. The trick is to get Drake on the strongest record you can find so he can do his thing. Drakeo didn't do that with this song.
