Family Matters is ass. One of the worst diss tracks of all time and did no damage.

Its a cool song but it didn't really affect much. Yall only talk about specific portions cus the song as a whole did not deliver the nuke it was hyped to be.

It's also clear Kendrick had an idea of what was coming, probably laughed when he heard the track, then released MtG while writing NLU. I don't know why we act like it was ever a gut punch of a track. The song fed Kendrick's strategy

It’s crazy to me that Drake took all the wrong lessons from Pusha T

The clear lesson was “don’t bring family into rap beef“ and he instead walked away with “I need a big gotcha moment like he had”

Family Matters was effectively a coughing baby Vs Hydrogen bomb when compared to Kendrick’s diss tracks.

The general vibe after those two were far more favorable to Drake than FM. It was a trap to try to match Kendrick with a 7 minute diss record

Taylor Made was successful in its intention to get under Kendrick skin and ruffle his feathers. He’s been clearly deeply disturbed by the Tupac A.I more then just about anything within the beef

But it also backfired to a degree because it made some big figures on the west coast firmly side with Kendrick instead of sitting on the fence which they more then likely would’ve done otherwise.

Hate he didn’t let this stand on its own. Hindsight is 20/20 but I still believe this dropping after Meet the Grahams would have given Drake a bit more armor for NLU and kept the track for track situation going a little longer.

Euphoria was the best track to me in the whole beef.

The Heart Part 6 was the only one I’d say is TERRIBLE. Even though I think Taylor Made was made in extremely poor taste, it’s not an unlistenable song.
