Fellas, is it innovative to not finish your verse/line??
No. It has been done before. Please listen to more hip-hop before you say some stupid ass s***.

It aint about who did it first its about who did it right

So rappers like Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Pimp C, Biggie, and a laundry list of others didn't do it right...?
Eminem pioneered it

While I think the title is hyperbole, we should be able to appreciate more than one rapper at a time, others doing similar things does not negate that it's a fun little trick that Drake delivers well
Ktt hates drake with a passion
Elzhi has a song where he pauses and then finishes the lines in ways you don’t expect…that’s way more creative than just not finishing them
These people just discovered rap via Drake. You know they don't know who Elzhi is b

All great rappers
I think this (among other flows) works better for Drake, especially since his voice is tailor made for it imo
Makes sense Drake would perfect it, Wayne and Hov are two rappers he’s studied and is similar to

I'm just calling you a dumbass for saying Drake not finishing a line is "innovative" when it's s*** that has been done since the early 90s to present day by a f*** ton of rappers.
If you started listening to rap after 2013 then just say that.

That's too new to mention, or fit in a sentence
If I get locked up, I won't finish the sent—
Kanye, 4th Dimension
Not only is Ye's better, it's way more clever. Drake is cool, but he is not an originator of anything but that old garbage stop flow.

Lil Wayne, MF DOOM, Jay Z, Ghostface Killah, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, J Cole, Big Sean, Fabolous, Ab-Soul, Freddie Gibbs
Have all incorporated a "cut off" type flow on a number of tracks off albums and mixtapes in their discography.
