Finished watching the entire interview and wanted to note a few things for you guys that stood out.

    • Originally wanted Uptown as the first single from So Far Gone, until Rich Paul urged him to pick Best I Ever Had instead.

    • He knew sitting in the car with 40 after listening back to SFG for the first time that they truly had something special.

    • At the Best I Ever Had video shoot, he was so nervous that he was looking everywhere except the camera lens. At that moment he realized he was really a "rapper in the rap game"

    • His thoughts on Thank Me Later are that the album was his only album where he felt was more label influenced more than anything. He was essentially happy to be there, getting features from big artists. Take Care is when he began to get more personal.

    • Bigs up Weeknd's involvement with Take Care, considers the album a classic. He vowed that any music he made from that point forward would be controlled by him sonically.

    • Take Care was a reflection of Toronto and he felt that was a great representation of who he is and the city itself.

    • He reveals Nothing Was The Same is his favorite and most cohesive project.

    • They brush over IYRTITL, Views, More Life & Scorpion, he does bring up IYRTITL as a project he really enjoyed as well.

    • Says that he "took the hit that other artists should also take" in regards to collaboration in music, and encourages new artists to not be afraid of that.

    • During the Meek situation, he was with Serena at the time, who told him that "if you're going to go again, you have to finish him." Bigs up Meek as being of the people who is really about that life. Glad they're able to look back at it now and that they're both in better places. Meek told him he wasn't in a good mental place during the situation. Says his relationship with Nicki is altered forever because of that.

    • Finds it hard to cut songs cause he invests so much into each of them, hence the large amount of volume on Views and Scorpion.

    • Says he doesn't appropriate any culture because he gives back and gives other guys looks and pays homage to who was here before him. Says no matter where he goes, he's solidified.

    • Sees Rihanna as more family now, glad to be able to work with Chris and squash the beef. The bit at the end of No Guidance was his idea, that he pitched to the director to include.

    • Admits he lost to Pusha T, not because of bars, because of the pure shock value of the revealing a child situation. He had no plans to reveal his kid with adidas and wasn't hiding anything. He doesn't post his son because he believes people are crazy and will do/wish certain things.

    • He doesn't see himself reconciling with Pusha T or Kanye. Says the problems Kanye has, he cant fix. He said this with what seemed to me the most serious face in the entire interview.

    • Admits him and Future are cooking something up, and that OVOXO is still here.

    • Him and Abel had their issues and he regrets not "being in contact" the past 7 years to do make more amazing music and moments. He was never mad about Abel not signing to XO. Doesn't reveal the true reason for the rift.

    • His biggest accomplishment in the past 10 years is remaining true to himself. Says he can have dinner with his mother and she can look at him and say "its still you, you're not a shell of a person". Thankful that he doesn't do d****, and has had a lot of opportunity to mess it all up and he hasn't. Tells the newer generation to stay strong and hold on when going through adversity because too many lives that need to be heard are being lost.

    • He doesn't see himself retiring at 35 anymore. He says he really lives his rap life and is still out partying and enjoying himself overall. Doesn't plan on settling down unless it's with someone who wont slow him down.

    • For the new album, he's using Take Care as a benchmark. He lines up the albums and tries to see if tracklist to tracklist they stand up to each other. Sidebar, I'm assuming if he's using TC as a benchmark and also hinting at OVOXO, that we're going to see a return to a darker more ambient sound.

Hope this helps those that can't watch the full video.
