Ngl, overall @op isn’t too far off. Drake has greatly saturated his brand these last couple of years. Putting out way too many projects with little time to breathe. Mid to low quality projects that communicate very little creative effort. He runs around with kids like Yachty and Uzi, and it makes him seem stunted. He isn’t aiming for classic rap albums and timeless music— instead he’s content giving us moments. He’s still rocking those horrific braids with the baretts at the end.
People have been saying Drake’s suffering from over-saturation since views but the streaming numbers don’t lie
At the gates currently breaking tiktok algorithm
Kinda weird of drake to take a jab at kendrick on this track but he went to his show in Toronto couple months back to make it seem like they were cool ?👎+ he even mentioned kendrick in the rap radar interview & praised him
Garbage artist
So, idk if you’ve heard, but drake dropped this random song out of thin air with no promotion at all and it’s about to go number one.
I’m tapped in, and was bumping Search & Rescue for weeks. It’s new Drake so of course he’s going to do numbers, we’re hardwired to flock to new Drake. Still, I stand on what I said
Refreshing take. It’s clear as day to me that Scorpion is his best album. The hate always blew my mind. CLB is ass, and I don’t think Drake and 21 are a good match.
Scorpion will get its due recognition someday, but it’s becoming clearer and clearer with the passing of every project since that Scorpion was one of them ones. Classic, imo
Mid to low quality projects is not accurately describing DLDT, HN, Her Loss at all I suggest you actually give them a chance because this is some of the best music from Drake since 2011-2015
DLDT is timeless and a brilliant project that is always in my rotation.
And I still listen to HL, CLB, HNVM as well but those three for me and his antics prove my point
always weird when people frame their opinions as some kind of objective trend that can be measured and observed when in reality none of that s*** is true
i don't like some of his recent moves either (the stake stuff STINKS), but there is 0 indication that his popularity is suffering or whatever
threads like these highlight how drake fans want very different things from other drake fans. some love the type of hits he cranked out on Scorpion, others love HNVM, others want pure rap classics like NWTS and so on. he’s never gonna please everyone and when he drops something one audience loves, another audience will hate. and vice versa. it’ll be a never ending cycle until the day he no longer puts out music. just enjoy the ride yall. we’re way closer to his career being over than we are to it beginning

*he went to baby keem’s show
At the Gates was recorded right after Family Ties came out. It’s def a direct sub at Kendrick
I talked about it above a lil but anyway music is way more to me than the actual songs/albums an artist puts out, artists can do things that completely elevate the whole experience to make it more entertaining and memorable. Kanye is insane at this, so is The Weeknd in recent years
and also I just prefer Drake's poppier stuff tbh, the verse heavy stuff doesn't have much replay value to me
I get where you’re coming from with Kanye/Weeknd. I just don’t think that’s Drakes vision. It would be cool if it was, but hey. He has always been a “I’ll let the music do the talking” guy.
As far as the style of music goes, I like a variety. But everyone has their preferences

Kanye, Drake & The Weeknd ILLuminati World Tour incoming
I HATE WHEN DRAKE RAPS
DRAKE SINGS TOO MUCH
DRAKE IS A POP ARTIST
DRAKE DOESN'T EVEN WRITE HIS OWN SONGS
DRAKE TOOK AN L
DRAKE DIDN'T START FROM THE BOTTOM
DRAKE IS FINISHED
I LIKE DRAKE'S OLDER STUFF
DRAKE MAKES MUSIC FOR GIRLS DRAKE THINKS HE'S JAMAICAN
DRAKE IS AN ACTOR
DRAKE CHANGED
ANYBODY ELSE > DRAKE ...
YEAH YEAH WE KNOW
one of the most cringe things he’s ever done . reads like a tom mcdonald quote
