Going off of this, it doesn’t really matter at all overall, but I think it would make the site better if we acknowledged the culture of being as over the top, aggressive, and flagrant as possible in our posts to get the most notifications and hits of dopamine, and actively tried to combat it.
I saw both my replies and the replies of people calling me out were both burdened with attempts to be funny or shocking or hard or whatever, and I think that we could foster better overall discussion if we tried to consciously realize when we are phrasing our opinions in an unnecessarily flagrant way and then try to rephrase them in a way that allows for better discussion.

Of course, then again, half the reason I come to this site is for the ridiculous s*** people say, so maybe it’s fine as it is. Idk, it’s late and I’m bored
