I do bro but that's not the point at all. This song in particular sounds lifeless and like if someone were just prompted to make something that sounds like it was from that era given constraints of what that music felt and sounded like, almost pandering. AI music sounds like a novelty, which this reminds me of. I'm not trying to hate on him for going back to that sound but it doesn't sound organic to me personally.

He had plenty of both on the insano albums even if the subject matter for the majority of those was much lighter than usual. At the end of the day he’s earned this though. Expecting him to drop music like that now is unfair, he’s come out and said he prefers not to make sad or super introspective music anymore and wants to make fun light hearted stuff instead. He’s given us over a decade of emotional and introspective music.

At this point in cudis career if you want his old music buy his old albums lol. Dude dropped that heart felt, emotional and thoughtful type of music for 15 years. I get if you don’t think it’s the same because it clearly isn’t, that’s kinda the point though. Asking an artist to fabricate a specific sound and mood in their music when they aren’t in that headspace anymore is just selfish though. Not like cudi fans haven’t done this before though, i’m old enough to remember when people wanted him to do coke again so he could pump out another dark motm album.
