Crazy how much influence this movie had later on

This is the movie that got me into actually knowing what filmmaking is and realising there’s more to them as art, that there’s a craft into making them, that the camera angles are deliberate etc. And made me a film fan

I was 12 and saw a movie review (I think the schmoesknow guys on YouTube) where they talked about the direction & style, and ‘the director is almost the main character’

And I was like wait what??

It will, no exaggeration, inspire generations to come
It’s already a classic
It becomes my favorite film whenever I watch it
