half of future fans needed validation that future wasnt making the s*** for nearly half a decade and was making this mindbending revolutionary music and HNDRXX is exactly what they saw as that "amazing project" that showed future could do anything when in reality he made that kinda music for years

While it's true to a lot of rappers like Saint Aquinas mentioned, I feel like with Eminem it was more forced and manipulative
Btw it feels like he had the machine of a manufactured pop star behind him rather than a hip hop artist
All of this is your opinion though and not something you can actually prove. The only thing you can say is they manufactured him as a pop-star but even during that time he made more pure rap albums than most rappers in the mainstream. Outside 2-3 songs on his albums all his s*** had underground sound more than anything
