they fabricated the virus in a lab in wuhan with the intent to infect some chinese people and make them travel to countries who are competing with china in different fields to infect and spread a virus with no known cure and thus hurting the economy in those countries. but something went wrong in the lab and a lot of people got infected in wuhan itself
