YANDHILargely because of reputation and timing. First film won several awards and the sequel was hurt by March release. If performances are great and WB does their magic they could do damage releasing in mid-December.
This year could be packed so who knows. Damon isn't really some lock either. Outside of Oppenheimer, no Nolan leads have been nominated for his films and I don't think there's any guarantee of a repeat of the awards success or noms. He also basically denounced campaigning for awards a couple months ago lol
Unless this movie is some sort of dumpster fire, Chalamet should be another easy lock for a Best Actor nomination

IcyNeckThis s*** is so ass. Over 300 minutes of the most boring slow paced space opera I could ever dream of. The worm s*** is cool. The battles are cool. Everything in between is mind numbingly dull and self important…. I know everybody latched onto this as the latest “franchise of week” so they can feel involved, read the books, anticipate, and for whatever reason they ever decided to nominate this s***— you can also campaign for it to win awards. But under all that fluff and marketing exists one of the worst big budgeted slop stories in Hollywood right now.
The worst part is nobody explains how or why they enjoy this series. An average K Pop Demon Hunter fan can go into further depth about their movie than any Dune fan.
Let them enjoy it brother even if it’s not for you
