they showed the trailer before project hail mary on imax, the war chant goes so hard, I cant stop thinking about this movie
The way everybody is taking pictures of Project Hail Mary 70mm screen is exactly how the hype will translate to Dune 3
Meaningless discourse irrelevant to the films subject, all based in āhypeā. Souvenir popcorn bucket movies. Manufactured anticipation for a film with 0 attempt to engage the audience to the actual story, just extreme marketing campaigns that prey on the āFOMOā feeling. Nobody is rushing to theater to know what happens, they just need to feel involved in the current flavor of the week. Hate how people consume movies and approach theaters with this Crumbl Cookie ass mindset. Big screen and cool visuals is the only bar that resonates with the lowest rung of ācinephileā audiences.

No. If youāre spending all that money on tickets, transportation, and food/snacks, why wouldnāt you appreciate your eyes being awarded with the biggest screen and sound plus the most beautiful visuals? Film is a visual medium.
And the audiences are being selective in what they wanna spend all that on rightfully so, but only because at the end of the day the movie still has to warrant their wanting to see it. Why even say this about a movie whose primary hype both before and after release has been its storyās quality and how touching it is?
A lot of things are going wrong with film nowadays, but this just reads as cynicism for its own sake

I think what icy neck is getting at is wanting movies that arenāt tentpole franchises or a bit smaller to also have sold out shows on those screens . If itās just mcu dcu and dune then thats wasted screens .

If they showed holy mountain on that s*** and randomly older movies each month I would be there . I wish music box was upgrading I love their selection and film festivals
Every place getting imax 70mm iMax should be showing the greatest movies of all time and the greatest movies of the past year on those screens when there is no major new movie to show on them

I'm 45 minutes from the closest regular theatre and an hour or so from the closest indie one which includes brutal city traffic
Used to get out to the indie one to see older/weirder stuff a few times a year but so busy these days can only usually manage going to see stuff that really justifies going to the theatre. Have a huge tv and ridiculous surrounded sound at home anyways. Probably finally moving to the city next year so I'll finally get to go to the indie one regularly.
The average priced movie screen isnāt big enough for the expense of seeing movies and the constant demand for different, immediate formats of watching movies and other audiovisual media
Movie theaters need to big much bigger, also to meet the demand of visual immersion. The people have a higher standard for visuals, and they want to enjoy it to the max

I started Messiah today, and I really hope they have the scene where Farok sees the sea for the first time and it heals him from the Jihad, it was so powerful and it would be insane to see that exact moment on the big screen.
