Dune Part 2 better than LOTR 1 2 or 3?

imo just about everything. I love lotr it’s been my favorite trilogy since I was a kid but dune is just more my s***. I love the score, setting, story, actors, and visuals.

its a good trilogy. Best trilogy of the 2020s and most of the 2010s but better than LOTR that still replays in theaters and changed all of film . That allowed a Dune trilogy to even exist? I dont know that is a tall order.

When you look at the lifetime box office , reviews. Peter Jackson aboslutely demolished.

I am not saying it cant be the best trilogy to you but to many it doesnt do anything better than Lord of the Rings and thats okay. Its still great.

I don’t take into account being faithful to the books tbh in fact I think this movie would be best to NOT be as faithful to messiah lol. Also I don’t judge the trilogy based on sales. It’s my opinion bro you don’t need to agree like we discussed already.

I get how iconic lotr is and everything it achieved. It’s in my all time movies list. I just prefer dune’s setting and everything else I listed. I get most won’t agree.

Funny though that I love both trilogies and both have absolutely dogshit shows on streaming.

I’d put it over the first lotr movie for sure. I like the pacing of dune part two more. Also like the score better. The action scenes are way better. I like seeing Paul becoming more and more corrupt. The lore and world of dune isn’t necessarily better than lotr but I loved seeing it in part two with the worms and different parks of Arrakis. It might slightly be above 2 for me but not sure. I love the ents. Might have return of the king over dune 2 though. Overall I think I’m gonna prefer the dune trilogy more all depending on if 3 is as good as they’re saying. Need them to nail the stoneburner scene and Alia
