This might be unnecessary I’m afraid
Hope I’m wrong
This’ll help the time gap between now & Messiah go easier
hope it turns out good, def sounds promising
The milking begins
There are 6 Dune books from Frank Herbert himself.
18 Dune books from his son, countless short stories as well.
A movie made in 1984, a TV movie made in 2000, another one made in 2003.
Multiple comics
and 11 video games.
Franchise been milked.

Cool I already know this information
Has nothing to do with the milking that’s about to happen regarding MAX

Calling it milking doesn't make sense when it's most likely going to pull in the lore from the original 6 books and start to show the weirder side of the dune universe to general audiences

Mf it’s okay to have different views on the usage of the word milking

There's 20 years between the Lynch movie and the show. Another decade and a half to the first Villeneuve movie. They're all working from Herbert source material as intended.
This is a spin off. This is like his son's work tbh.
Can't say milking begins when it was already being milked it's okay to correct yourself

I think it's a good idea honestly. The Bene Gesserit aren't really well explained in the films but they're so important to the plot. This will probably add some good depth

I think there’s a fun bit of mystique in their presence. If this doesn’t take away from that then by all means I’m with it but idk not everything needs to be explained in depth for me
TV?
Don’t watch it then?
What do you want a movie a year or nothing?…
I don’t understand the complaints before we even see the quality of it

Mf use your head please
Dune first came out in 84, tv series in 2000 and Part 1 in 2019
Where tf is the milking prior to Dune part 2??
The books don’t count because this is about the film representation

They’re milking the franchise. If you can’t see that then idk what to tell you
Three films and leave it at that. Not everything has to be an MCU ripoff

I don’t mind like a few shows. Once we start getting spin-off movies and a show a year it’ll be too much. I agree though I really hope they don’t milk the hell out of this.
I’d prefer if this took place inbetween Children of Dune and God Emperor of Dune tbh. The Bene Gesserit were more or less made docile during the God Emperor’s reign, but they were still plotting, albeit fruitlessly.
I’ve kinda fallen out of love with the whole general premise of prequels.
