Curtis Mayfield and ONP they recorded it for with Curtis singing on his back in his last days because he wanted to work with Organized. He loved Players Ball as he should and this was on New World Order lp and co lead vocals is Mavis staples.

So if some of you ever wondered the back catalog of ONP besides TLC Outkast and Goodie. You see they moved around and got to work with a lot of their music heroes 😭

New World Order is R&B/soul singer-songwriter Curtis Mayfield’s final studio album. Despite Curtis being paralyzed he still managed to sing and also help with the production, that tells you alot about this legend. According to Australian radio station Triple J, Mayfield recorded his songs by lying on his back, the only way he could get enough air into his lungs, and singing one verse at a time. After every verse for a song had been recorded, they were edited together for the finished, continuous track. New World Order received three Grammy nominations. “Best R&B Album”, “Best Male R&B Vocal Performance” For the title track “New World Order”. and “Best Male R&B Vocal Performance” for the track “Back To Living Again”.

Curtis at that time was completely paralyzed by lightning hitting a staging that came crashing down on his back

. He was unable to record normally and that’s why he was needing all these musicians - he was unable to play anything completely paralyzed
