Had a breakout year in 2020 and had the city on fire with singles like these

Already setting the tone for 2021 with his latest single

AK already starting to cover him so that might help him get more exposure in the American scene.

Canadians: How much crossover appeal do you think he has?

Everyone one: What y’all think of his music?

Top 5 gets more coverage cause of his antics so I see him more as the 6ix9ine to Duvy’s Lil Baby. Duvy got a lot more potential musically

in terms of crossover appeal, i think he's has the most out of most big toronto artists rn. he has already commited to a sound that works, he just gotta keep doing what hes doing, get some features outside of toronto and get more american press. imo duvy has to focus on distinguishing himself from toronto but thats it. hes not just a toronto rapper, hes a rapper period uk.

His crossover appeal is definitely there, doesn't have a strong accent that throw Americans and Brits off and and his music is accessible with his melodic hooks. Hope he links with more American artists this year.

Ya that’s definitely a big barrier for Canadian artists trying to blow up in the States, sometimes their music is drowned in too much regional slang and accent that helps it do well locally but holds it back on the international scale

sounds like a toronto lil baby clone. not completely horrible but idk how much traction he'll have down here considering there's a bunch of dudes who can do what he does 5x better

And just to be clear no one actually in Toronto thinks anything about Top5.. all of this is being fuelled by white kids outside of the city limits. Toronto hood politics have become entertainment for those kids, which is sad because it’s put a battery in some of these artists’ back.
