Still on OVO Sound btw, this is just management
Hope they can do a good job.

Honestly I think most of the label needs management outside of OVO lmao
They need that extra push

It's hard to say too though, because the modern day way of making music is like a nonstop release schedule. Some artists prefer to take a few years to create music that's worth listening to.

True. Management is really what makes/breaks a career, after all.
I love what LVRN does. The marketing will be much better for sure. Seems like the perfect marriage tbh.

Y'all love to blame OVO. These guys do bare minimum to push themselves lol. They chose the low key path (and still managed to do very well)
I know they're making real bread because they don't owe a bunch for forced promo dollars
this is a W for them, glad to see it
morning after is one of the best rnb albums in a long while, they should be bigger

As much as I love Majid Jordan, the failed pop push 2 years ago is proof enough. Getting Khalid on a record who at the time was one of the biggest pop acts at the time and it not even charting in the US is proof enough that if they want to blow they need big management.
I want all of them to be mad successful so a move like this is great

To be honest, getting good management doesn't necessarily equate to huge mainstream success but they could secure better looks for them in terms of late-night TV performances, award show performances and other industry looks. dvsn breaking out in the mainstream will be entirely up to them and the songs they make and how well those songs are received mainstream-wise. I can't say for certain that Summer Walker or 6lack have scored huge hit records but they have songs that have gotten more visibility than the average dvsn song so this is a good deal regardless.

But it could help overall. I think the only time I’ve seen Majid Jordan perform on TV was with Drake on Ellen.
I don’t know what management is like at OVO now or if there even is any but if anything, I think this could be the start of a partnership.
I think if this goes well enough, LVRN and OVO could make this a thing across most of their R&B acts. Only time will tell

Indeed, time will tell.

LVRN have Westside Boogie, Summer Walker, 6LACK etc. Dvsn being under them is a great match for management and The collabs they’d make with Dvsn will be fire

It’s always OVOs fault. In the comments of Majid Jordan most recent song I saw people b****ing saying they need to leave OVO and sign to XO
