We’re thrilled to share that an all-new single-player, third-person, action-adventure Iron Man video game is now in early development at Montreal-based Motive Studio. The team is being led by Olivier Proulx, who brings experience working on past Marvel titles like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and is joined by a dedicated team of passionate industry veterans including Ian Frazier, Maëlenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier at the studio.
Developed in collaboration with Marvel Games, the game will feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of Iron Man, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man.
Hope they do it justice
Just copy paste the anthem flying mechanics into an iron man skinned game. Bioware already did all the heavy lifting!
I still need that open world Superman game. Technology should be able to do a good one by now. Imagine being able to save a falling plane, like a homage to the Returns movie, and you gotta press R2 and L2 to lift it up, with pressure resisting and you gotta actually press the buttons hard to make em go down, while he lifts the plane so it actually feels light your trying to lift something heavy. Not to mention the building destruction potential
EA is terrible when it comes to multiplayer, but Fallen Order is really dope and Iron Man is a character begging for a single-player video game adaptation so this could be dope
Man damn near every marvel character could have a single player game tbh. Theres so many that ppl dont even know about. Obviously some are more known and popular than others

yeah but if they aren't known, what company is gonna make a game that costs millions alone to develop?

I didnt say they would, just said a game "could" be made
THQ avengers game would’ve pushed superhero games forward before insomniac’s spiderman tbh
a shame it got canned due to THQ going out of business

i'm aware, and I was stating why they wouldn't be made

What if I told you Sony played a part in THQ closing because they viewed that game as direct competition?

do we really need that many repetitive superhero games though?

nah I was just saying that would be a fun what if. No creedance behind it. I just hope if they continue to branch out between different heroes and games they don't all make them arkham, creed or spider man skins.
Last iron man game I played was on playstation 2 and that s*** was lowkey hard so 🤔🤔 this might be a hit in the making

Honestly companies invest in original IP to the same effect sometimes I don't see why you don't take that swing with a maybe not super popular character whose still more known then an original

cause capitalism.
being known more doesn't mean it'll sell more copies/consoles. really is that simple of an equation.
it's also why the literal mcu was a gamble, since most ppl didn't know or care about those superheroes.

I don't know if I want formulaic Superhero games when I am already questioning if Spider Man 2 will do enough new and enough varied content to justify 70$

Capitalism also says it's better to take lesser known older ideas with the small audience that ne ed less work iver putting out original ones you have have fully build out example being also the MCU and why it worked.
It was a smarter investment for Disney to buy out properties that were already built then have to come up with a new one

yeah, after playing ng+ on spider-man and miles, idk how much spider-man 2 will do for me. i aint paying $70 tho, i know that much.
swinging around is like the best aspect for me tbh
