this is a return to form in terms of him having command on the mic, but honestly I can't rly pretend to be excited about another drumless album in 2025 I think...

like, it still felt like a fresh slightly experimental minimalist approach on Fete des Morts and SRS, but that's soon 10 years ago... the beats on here are nice but it's just starting to feel like same ol same ol

I fairly enjoyed it off first listen and can see my enjoyment increasing a lot the more i listen. Think it will at minimum be my fav since SRS. First listen for me is always more just taking it in sonically, rather than focusing on the lyrics.

Didn't really feel like SRS to me. He seemed to switch up his delivery between songs a good amount, and wasn't all monotone. And his flow changes worked well, unlike in Sick imo.

Sonically it didn't feel safe to me. Yes it was still mostly withing his usual range but had good nuances that made it feel fresh to me. I do think he could take even more risks but that doesn't take away from my enjoyment of this album

On Voir Dire I did, and Sick did too, with some average trap songs also thrown in. But this one felt more potent (in form again) with some new beats. I really like Static

Hate to say it but I'm officially sick of this style from him. It was really interesting with SRS but after like 5 straight projects of mysterious repetitive sample loops and comatose raps this was just a snoozefest for me unfortunately
